Traxit Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Traxit handles information in its field-service web and mobile applications.
Effective September 2, 2026
Who this policy covers
Traxit provides field-service software to businesses and their authorized workers. Your employer or the organization that provides your Traxit workspace may control the business records in that workspace. Traxit processes those records to provide the service to that organization.
Information we process
- Account information, such as your name, email address, phone number, account identifier, authentication status, and workspace membership.
- Field-service records, including customers, contacts, properties, jobs, appointments, assets, inspections, deficiencies, quotes, invoices, comments, time records, and related configuration.
- Content you submit, such as photos, documents, signatures, inspection answers, comments, and attachment metadata.
- Precise location captured only when you choose to clock in or clock out. Traxit stores the location with the clock event so authorized workspace managers can verify attendance and document that service occurred at the job site. Traxit does not collect location in the background.
- Technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as device and application details, session identifiers, error reports, crash data, Sentry performance traces sampled from 20% of transactions, error-related screenshots, masked error-session replays, view hierarchy, security logs, authenticated web page usage, PostHog Web Vitals, selected workflow-completion events, and feedback users choose to submit. Product analytics use an account identifier, a pseudonymous workspace reference, and permission-group name; page paths are normalized to remove workspace slugs and record identifiers.
How we use information
We use information to:
- authenticate users and provide the requested workspace;
- schedule, document, inspect, complete, and bill field-service work;
- record clock events, verify attendance, and document service at job sites when that feature is used;
- store and deliver user-submitted records and attachments;
- understand feature adoption and user experience so we can maintain and improve Traxit;
- secure and troubleshoot Traxit; and
- comply with applicable legal and contractual obligations.
Service providers and disclosure
Traxit uses service providers for authentication, database hosting, file storage, infrastructure, email delivery, monitoring, and error reporting. These providers process information on Traxit's behalf to deliver their services. Traxit requires third parties receiving user data to provide the same or equivalent protection described in this policy and required by applicable law and platform rules. We may also disclose information when directed by the customer organization, required by law, or necessary to protect users, Traxit, or others. Traxit does not sell personal information or use it for behavioral advertising.
Retention and deletion
Customer workspace information is retained while the customer maintains a paid Traxit subscription. After a subscription ends, Traxit retains the workspace information in active systems for up to 60 days before deletion. Backup copies may remain for up to an additional 60 days while backups are rotated or overwritten. Some information may be retained longer where needed for legitimate security, contractual, financial, or legal purposes. Requests involving an organization's business records may need to be handled or approved by that organization.
An authenticated user can delete their Traxit login from mobile Settings. Successful deletion disables access to every workspace and deletes the user's Clerk identity. The customer organization's business records, including jobs, inspections, photos, time records, and audit history, are not deleted. The user's name and email may remain with those records where needed to preserve work history and attribution.
To request access, correction, or deletion, visit our privacy request page.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect their credentials and notify us of suspected unauthorized access.
Children
Traxit is a business application intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly provide the service to or collect personal information from anyone under 18.
United States service
Traxit is offered for use in the United States, and its production hosting is intended to remain in United States regions. Service providers may use subprocessors as described in their applicable terms and privacy notices.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Traxit or applicable requirements change. We will publish the updated policy here and revise the effective date.
